ABU DHABI, UAE — Demonstrating its ongoing dedication to social responsibility and community impact, International Community Schools (ICS) – Al Manhal branch has partnered with the Make-A-Wish® Foundation UAE to grant a special wish for a child facing a critical illness.

Through this collaboration, ICS Al Manhal contributed to fulfilling the heartfelt wish of Juwairiya, a 12-year-old girl diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia. Juwairiya, an avid reader who loves playing video games such as Super Mario and Sonic, wished for a PlayStation 5 with games, an extra controller to play with her brother Yousif, and a new 55-inch Smart TV for her family.

The wish was fulfilled during a special outing at Al Zahia City Centre in Sharjah, where Juwairiya selected her new TV and received her gaming package. The initiative brought immense joy, hope, and emotional strength to Juwairiya and her family, highlighting the transformative power of community-driven support.

Since 2010, the Make-A-Wish® Foundation UAE has granted over 8,000 wishes to children facing serious medical conditions, helping them build resilience and optimism during challenging treatment journeys. The partnership with International Community Schools demonstrates how employee-led social engagement and educational institutions can directly impact lives beyond the classroom.

ICS Al Manhal and Make-A-Wish® UAE look forward to continuing their collaboration in future initiatives, working together to touch more lives and spread happiness across the region.
